Bauer Vapor 3X Intermediate Roller Hockey Skates
The Vapor 3X roller skate is designed for effective play at a high-performance level. It comes equipped with a flex composite corner, a HI-LO CNC chassis, a pro-stock Form Fit 2 tongue, Labeda Gripper Crossover wheels, and a digicomp outsole. These skates excel at power while turning and during crossovers.
Boot Construction
The skate uses the same quarter package as the Mission Inhaler WM02 skate: injected tech mesh with quarter ventilation and an abrasion guard. This boot is modelled to offer good support and ventilation while you skate. It also uses a clear TPU outsole for better balance and stability. A more stable and supportive build makes it easier to transfer energy through the skate.
The clear TPU outsole is lightweight and highly resistant to wear and tear. Bauer implemented their asymmetrical toe cap from their latest high-end skates to improve fit with a more anatomical feel. The toe cap also includes new vent shapes to keep your feet cooler as you play.
Liner
The boot is lined with an antimicrobial liner that is good at wicking away moisture and repelling bacteria and odour. The two-piece felt liner adds more support to your skating, and the ankle padding increases comfort.
Tongue
The pro-stock Form Fit 2 tongue is built to wrap comfortably around your foot. It’s soft and gives good protection against lace bite. The Form Fit 2 skate tongue was used in some of Bauer’s top hockey skates on the ice hockey side, and it continues to offer top-tier performance in their roller skate lines as well.
Chassis
The skate uses a HI-LO Aluminum CNC chassis, with a configuration used in Bauer/Mission roller skates exclusively. As the name suggests, this chassis holds two 80mm wheels in the back and 76mm wheels in the front. The setup enhances forward lean, which helps empower stride.
Wheels
The Vapor 3X skate uses Labeda Gripper Crossover wheels, which are soft wheels intended for smooth surfaces and indoor use. Labeda’s Gripper series was the frontrunner on Flex Tech in their roller hockey wheels, which is a technology designed to augment speed and grip. They work well with the HI-LO chassis to enhance stride and help you reach your greatest skating potential.
If you do plan to skate outdoors or on rough terrain, it is highly recommended that you switch the wheels to harder ones.
